The DVD is passable.
The transfer is anamorphic, which should be great, but unfortunately it's troubled by a huge amount of grain, and several slightly out of focus shots. There's also quite a few specks on the print in the beginning. Otherwise contrast is good, colors are great, but like most Hong Kong DVDs, black could stand a little more definition.
The sound is great though. Very aggressive in places, specially when there's a ghost present.
Subtitles are very clear. White with a black edge.
The "making of" featurette is pretty standard, but I just couldn't watch it. In keeping with the film's theme, the producers have decided to add a ghostlike haze to the images when the stars and filmmakers are interviewed. Really annoying.
Interesting though, is the inclusion of the comic book version of the story, as 94 separate pages that you can flip through with your remote. Note the white lady figure riding the subway. She also present on the poster, but was cut from the finished film.
There are also trailers and biographies.
All in all a good disc.
